Agricultural land with potential for association to set up vegetable farms,
including fruit trees, vineyards and livestock farms, and fruit crops, fruit
trees, technical plants and animal husbandry, but also with great potential
for organic agriculture, joins the potential of the natural heritage in terms
of the possibility of using it in the balneary tourism by exploitation of the
thermo-mineral waters, used for therapeutic purposes, especially the bicar-
bonated waters with temperatures between 23 °C - 42 °C and the balneo-
therapeutic, sulphate and sulphurous minerals existing on the territory of
the county. The presence of rivers that cross the entire Sălaj County and its
relief can create the potential of developing tourism business by promot-
ing recreational activities such as rafting, sport fishing, etc., or organizing
sports competitions and setting up adventure and leisure parks (mountain
